<p>i'd try cutting it to 275 if i were you. one rule that i follow is a standard deviation of 10%.</p>
<p>mine is over too...it's really imperceptible when you think about how few words that is. There's no way they're going to count, so I don't think it matters too much...</p>
<p>I'd show it to a friend who will be bluntly honest with you. If they can make it through the essay no problem and stay interested in it, then an admissions officer will have no trouble reading every word.</p>
