<p>How strict is the short essay word count?</p>
<p>i know it says 150 words, but what if i went over to like 300-400?
even 500?</p>
<p>im applying to schools like stanford/havard. Will they care or will they like to see that I write alot about my passion more?</p>

<p>Honestly, I agree with you. 150 words is too short to describe an activity you're passionate about. I would say 200 is pushing it, and 250 is the acceptable max.</p>

<p>well when it says limit, I would expect they really mean to limit it. I don't know how the printed off copy looks, but I would expect they only leave room for around 150 words. But i really have no idea.</p>
