<p>Should the Common App short essay on an extracurricular activity be on the more poetic side or should it be more on the straight out facts side?</p>
<p>Mine had a mix of both. I wanted them to see what I specifically did and the passion I had in it.</p>
<p>Don’t repeat anything already spelled out in the list of ECs, year started, awards, none of that. Take off from there to say how the EC really defines who you are.</p>

Hmmm… Well this is what it asks “Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences”</p>
<p>I think it’s pretty open to interpretation in regards to what and what not to include.</p>
