Will it matter if my essays on "write a note to your roommate" and "describe an intellectual experience" are a little too long than what's specified? I actually attached separate sheets instead of filling up the actual small sections. Will that irk the adcom?

They should fit in the space provided. I think Stanford reaaly resents any extra papers attached...

wow you had to attach another sheet? How many words was it approx?
I did the paper application and it didn't say anything about word limit or anything so I did wrote as much as I can to fill the space for all 3 essays. I used 10 pt Arial (which I hope is easy to read) and indented the margins too and I'm pretty sure it's over word limit. Are they gonna like reject me for that?

I personally think that attaching paper is excessive.

But for leely888, I think you'll be fine. They're not going to count the words on a paper application and I doubt they will notice the smaller font -- only if you used 6 pt. font or something. And they definitely won't reject you because of it.

And... I'm bitter because of the 1500 character limit on online apps. Wah.

not only is there a 1500 character limit (i.e. if you put an extra space the form will reject it), but sometimes your answer goes past the pdf bounds, character limit or no. it's really annoying. my essays (i'm applying SCEA..wait, no, applied SCEA) ended up being ~1350-1400, since that's all that could fit on the pdf

yeah but there's no world limit problem on paper
