Short SOP... Need advice.

One of my admissions essays has a 750-word limit. Right now, I'm sitting at about 600...

I've had a few people read it and outside of minor changes, everyone thinks it's really, really good. So, my question is: is it too short? I feel like if I push a little closer to 750, I might lose some of the conciseness and it may become a little too flowery. At the same time, I'm afraid that it just might be too short.

Obviously, the solution is to leave it as-is, since it's good, but I just don't know if having a short(er) SOP could hurt me.

If you said everything you want to say, I’d say leave it. The adcom will have to read a hundreds of these and I’d guess that they’d appreciate you being concise. I - on the other hand- need to cut hundreds of words and wish I were in your position.

Answering your own question is not playing nice.

300/750 could hurt you. 600/750 will not hurt you.

Thanks, everyone. I felt super confident about it besides the length, but now I’m a lot more comfortable with it.
