short statement

You have the chance to ask one question of the creator of an original work. Who is the creator, what is the work, and what is your question?

I am wondering what you guys wrote for this one ??

BUMP, please!

"My question goes to Albert Franz Doppler, composer of the piece 'Fantasie Pastorale Hongroise, Op. 26:' Your piece is not separated into movements, yet there are several apparent style changes; what is the story or mood for each sequence?"

ummm ok so listen tell me if any of these are pathetic. im in desperate need. i must finish this soon.
Work of art: for andy warhol, Did you create the self portrait based on how you see yourself or how you want the world to see you, and what influenced you to create it the way you did
world record: donated most money to an eating disorder fund because a few of my friends have had eating disorders and its affected me personally...? or is that lame
new law: lessen the work burdern placed on immigrants... bc a lot of immigrants are taken advantage of, like they have to work extra hours and at a lower pay
question: Many writers have forseen the future as a utopian rebirth or ultimate destruction of mankind. Do you agree with either or neither predicition and why or why not?

PLEASE HELP!! any suggestions....... esp about the world records and new law..............................

hey, these questions aren't meant to be difficult. show your personality!! if you're a funny person, then humor them. if you're not, then that's fine too.

your answers aren't bad, but they lack that special SPARK. sure, these things might be really important to you, but you can't really convey that in 50 words or less. i think you should work on your question for next year's apps first... it seems a bit contrived. why would this question matter in the college admissions process? after all, the answer wouldn't say much about the applicant's personality, would it?

good luck!

and don't think too hard.

i agree... your question for next year's app wouldnt allow applicants to convey their personality... in essay questions, all the applicants shouldnt have to talk about the same thing. it needs to be personal.

world record: i would make it about something you enjoy doing, such as a hobby or maybe something you've won awards in already... saying you would donate the most money to an eating disorder fund is personal, but it makes you look like your trying to be a hero or do something good for a reward... i donno

new law: i think it sounds fine, but i might elaborate a little, maybe make it more specific, but its generally good.

work of art: i really like this one!

i think you're doing well, and like dreamsicle said, dont freak out too much! these questions just say who you are since its hard to get your personality based on your resume, you're not trying to prove anything to anyone....

good luck!!!

Here's my short question about asking a creator of an original.....It kinda beats around the bush. Tell me what you think.......

In Joan Grant’s fascinating novel, Life as Carola, she uses her rhetoric to paint a vivid picture. However, certain parts of the picture were a bit obscure, such as the social commentary. Therefore, I would ask her whether the horrific events in her novel highlight the misogynist ideals of medieval Europe.

I would ask George Lucas if he planned to have Luke and Leia be related from the start, or was he making it up as he went along.

My son just finished his app yesterday. His world record was the biggest sub sandwich, satisfying his love of food and enjoyment of working with people (not those exact words). His question was asking William Shakespeare if he really meant for English classes to analyze every word he wrote...

And he managed to keep every question within the word limit. I think one came to exactly 50 words...

I said I would ask Larry and Andy Wachowski (Matrix, obviously) "Just how far down the rabbit hole have you gone"

haha, yeah. That's my dorkiness coming out there. :)

haha, I noticed that too (for Star Wars)... actually, it's always sort of irked me. good question. :)
