My son is supposed to attend a summer language program through UT on campus this summer. Class starts 5/30 and end August 11th. In the past they’ve directed the kids towards certain housing options but this year it seems we are on our own finding something. How hard is it to find short-term housing for the summer? So far my research has brought me to Dobie Center and 26 West (which got very bad reviews). Any advice for how students handle short-term housing? Sites to consider? I find craigslist overwhelming and scary, but if that’s the best way to go we’ll try that. Thanks in advance.
@MansfieldTxMom - are you on Facebook? If so, you might try:

Thanks! I did find the group and join it. That’s the kind of thing I was looking for!
My husband’s cousin’s high school son will be at UT doing some summer research with a faculty member. He mentioned that http://universitytowers.com/ is pricey but offers short term housing.
Well, my D is interested in subletting her bedroom and bath in University House at 21st and San Antonio - one block from campus. It is a 2 story 4X4. Message me if interested and for more details. The leases in student housing type managed properties (high-rises) in West Campus end on July 31 and no one can be in the building the first two or three weeks of Aug. So Aug would be an issue with a sublet in these properties.
