Shotgunning top-tier schools for CS (Chances?)

@lookingforward Look, the whole point of these “Chance Me” threads are for people to comment on the reasonability of that person making into that college, what chances they have, what those colleges look for, etc. Not just to say its a crapshoot. I know these schools are a crapshoot for everyone, you don’t have to keep telling me this.

Great example: you do not need any AMC scores.

And yes, you need to be rounded, no matter how many times CC says otherwise. Very few kids get in with just stem activities. MIT makes a point about this. You can look at what Harvard says. Etc. Harvard reserves a few spots for top math kids, but that’s extreme skill/record and rather unique among TTs.

OP, I do not say crapshoot. I do not believe it is a crapshoot. YOU called it shotgunning. I think that’s a mistake in strategy.

I said, early on, that you will have a problem with the 4 score in physics. That’s real, not imagined. And with unilateral.

@lookingforward Shotgunning, as for what I am referring to, is applying to a large number of top-tier schools that are reach/super-reach in intention of at least making it in at one school. Anyways, what activities do you believe I should pursue to fit this “non-unilateral” category.

You have great stats, and should be proud. Your chances at many of these schools are a crapshoot. But all you need is one admissions officer to pull for you.

Why didn’t you apply in the early round? Your chances would have been much higher. Have you considered applying ED2 anywhere?

Also >200k income is not middle class.
