<p>I would like to go ED at Penn, and I’m quite confident of my chances ED. (RD would be a major reach.) I’m worried about this though: my family probably won’t qualify for fin aid. I don’t want to get into Penn and then be forced to pay 40 something grand a year and put that burden on my family. Is Penn VERY generous with money, even for upper-middle income families? (Generous, as say, Princeton?) Do they give a good deal out to ED applicants? Please help, ED deadline is coming up and I’m torn, I know ED at Penn is a good shot but I was hoping to compare offers from colleges and go with the best bang for the buck.</p>

<p>Have your parents do the calculator on the Princeton web site. If you don't qualify based on that, don't do ED. May not be a good idea to do ED in any case, if you want to compare offers.</p>
