You know my school's ranking about 796/1443 public school in the state. I want to transfer to the number 1 school of my state. I did it last year but the GT counselor trapped me and the application wasn't ever sent so when I sent it again they said the deadline had passed. I was frustrated as when I calculated the matrix (in order to be a GT student), I qualified for the district GT program.
Now my problem is should I go for it a second time in this year (I'm a rising soph) and hopefully I can get there in my junior year. But I'm afraid that if I transfer my grade will drop heavily and therefore my chances of getting into top colleges will be taken away.
Should I transfer?

Seems like you really don’t want to be challenged. Being in the best will give you a few bad grades but you’ll also become better.

As for that, the above description should lead you towards the right answer but in the end you can’t expect somebody else to make the decision for you.

I don’t know why the hell that came out so motherish.
