Hello Everyone!

I applied to a couple UC's a few weeks ago, I was wondering if it was a bad idea to include a AP score of 2 on my UC app...I think I can still change it if I really wanted to. Do you think I made a mistake for leaving one bad score on my app, or will admissions appreciate my honesty?

Thanks

btw i failed AP US history (the one everyone at my school passes) but I passed the one everyone failed (AP Environmental Science) kind of funny...I have a long history of being unpredictable with respect to my test scores.

No you can no longer change it, so nothing you can do.

Will it hurt in college admissions though?

No one really knows. It depends on the app reader. Some may discount it, and some may focus on AP scores over SAT 1.

It also depends on the rest of your application. For the Fall 2008 admissions cycle, my daughter included an AP score of “1” on her application (along with 5 passing scores and 4 in-progress APs) and was accepted at the two UCs to which she applied. (UCB and UCLA.) They will not discount an otherwise excellent application because of one AP score.

Leaving out that one score would not have helped, because if you report some scores and leave others blank, the app reader would assume either 1) You felt so unprepared for the test that you chose not to take it, or 2) you received a 1 or a 2. *They will not assume that a blank score was a 5./I

At this point your record is what it is, and your application is complete. Try not to worry about it - enjoy the rest of your senior year.
