Should be this week, correct?

Hey RDers. When I was accepted in Jan (EDII), I got an email on the notification date. My letter came a few days later. I don't know if they send emails for RD, but it would make sense for them to do that.
Good luck!!

Got mine yesterday, Fedex. No worries, should be coming soon :D

Congratulations Artemis. Could you share where you live, the other person who was accepted by fedex was from Hawaii. Good luck to all who haven't heard - hopefully by the end of the week the rest of us will receive that big envelope.

Does Whitman send all the acceptances FedEx, or just certain ones?

I am so confused. but I've been that way since starting the application process so no biggie :)

Congrats, jadsil and Artemis! I live in WA and have a few friends applying. I'll let you all know if I find out anytime soon... I'm sure someone will beat me to it. I hope to be on this thread myself in a couple years!

Still waiting for news in Minnesota. Sigh.

This is so random though... A friend of mine said last year she was notified on the "official date" (by most colleges she applied)... but how come it seems that everyone here is hearing on a different day?

Well, if the two students who have been accepted are not lying, it appears like admissions decisions are already on their way!

Last year, decisions for Whitman came out around this time, so we are, hopefully, expecting to receive some kind of news this week!!

Thanks everyone! They sent my acceptance through fedex because they invited me to interview for a scholarship. Sorry if I mislead anyone. I posted this when my mom called me at school telling me the news, which was before I knew the details of what was in the packet they sent me.

Dang, had a feeling about that. You would think that Whitman would try to steal a march on other, maybe more well known colleges, by getting their decisions out early.

Or am I just going nuts here waiting for my S's applications to bear fruit

Now that the decisions have started to arrive I'm eager to get this whole process done! DS applied to eight and has heard from six of them. The last two will probably not be until late next week, I'm guessing :-(

I got mine Tue. via Fedex! Hooray :) I'm also going to interview for the scholarship

What scholarship is it that people are auditioning for?

I wonder if a kind soul who has gotten their decision could contact the admissions dept and find when the rest are going out.

You will store great treasure in heaven with the peace of mind that you will bring to us all (especially us parents).

And before I forget, congrats to you all, you are going to love the place!

Kumitedad, my D is an athletic recruit. The coach told her decisions are being finalized and will go out the middle of next week.

kbl,

thanks, that is a load of stress relief. I hope your D enjoys Whitman. It looks like a great place, that is why I am so anxious

Well, kumitedad, athletic recruit means she gets a little extra "push" from the coach but doesn't guarantee anything, unfortunately! I have a son studying there now and yes, it is a VERY special place, I wish you luck, too!

Drat...I was really hoping D would hear before we got on a plane tomorrow. We're flying into Seattle & then going college-hopping. But it'd be nice to know that she's actually accepted at Whitman before making that loooooong detour over to Walla Walla!

Well, maybe her dad can check the mail and call us if there's any auspicious envelopes.

lunitari, I hope your D gets in and you are able to visit. Whitman is one of my favorite colleges, and will also be on D2's list in a few years.

I am waiting on pins and needles for my S. Although one thing is always puzzling. It seems like there are more Ds than Ss going to Whitman. I wonder why that is?

Maybe its as simple as what my mom always told me. Girls are just smarter than boys
