Hi everyone!
So I have taken the ACT twice, and after getting my SAT scores, I think I am going to rely primarily on my ACT. My problem is, however, that I went from a 36 to a 28 in the science section (the science seemed much harder on the June ACT... maybe I just couldn't concentrate.. who knows). I went up in every other section, so is it worth it to send both scores to schools just to show that I did get a perfect score on the science? This is how my scores compare:
April ACT: 30 Eng, 28 Math, 24 Reading, 36 Science, 30 composite (12 writing)
June ACT: 35 Eng, 31 Math, 30 Reading, 28 Science, 31 Composite (12 writing)
My April ACT scores were a little low (this was before any preparation.. ACT or SAT), so I wasn't sure if I should also send those because of the good science score. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Congratulations, rks, on your scores. I think that the answer to your question depends on the schools that you are applying to. What schools are you applying to?

My top joice, right now, is Penn. I know it is a little bit of a reach, but I fell in love with it after I visited. Also, I like Northwestern, Georgetown, UMich, and Duke. These are just a few.. there are so many good schools, it is hard to decide! Thanks for the feedback!

I am not sure if this means anything, but the application for Penn has room to report three SAT sittings, and only one spot for the ACT. You may want to call their office of admissions to ask them.

Oooh, a toughie. Are you a potential science major? If so (and I had your scores), I would report both. If not, I would report the June scores because you come across there as a better all-round student.

You might ask your potential schools if they look at ACT subscores at all and, if so, if they pick the highest scores in different test administrations (like some schools do with SAT scores).

There probably isn't a right or wrong answer on this one ...
