should/can i transfer to GWU??

so i'm a junior at a private hs in CA.
my grades aren't great= uw 3.5 freshman year, uw 3.0 soph. and this year isn't looking too great.
should i go to a community college for two years after hs and get really good grades in the honors program, then transfer to GW? or do i have a shot with those grades? does GW even take community college credit?
Thanks.

you should calll registrars office (202-994-1000 and then ask to be tx to that extension), and ask them, because I do not recall them accepting com. college courses but I may be wrong. Goood Luck

Actually, they do. So yes, go to a CC (like I did, since I was an apathetic idiot in high school) and get enough credits to where they don’t check your high school stats.

Thanks.
MMoralN10Tion - did you get into GW from CC? if so, could u provide stats or anything like that that would be helpful? thanks!

I highly doubt, no offense with those grades at this time you stand a shot, they are more competitive than ever and scores and gpa’s are higher than a few years ago even. I would go to a CC, work very hard, get your scores up and apply. I think you stand as good a chance as anyone else and showing that you worked towards a long term goal would look impressive. Best of luck!
