Should grinding be allowed? How do you dance?

Inspired by the "can you dance?" thread..

Just some questions..
So, how do you dance at school dances?
How does the general population at your school dance?
Is grinding allowed or are there rules on what is appropriate at your school?
And should grinding be allowed at school dances?

School’s prom and homecoming are basically grindfests.

I don’t respect the grind. I think it’s a pathetic excuse for a dance; it’s not very fun (if you look at everyone grinding, they all have blank faces lol. the ‘excitement’ gets old after 10 minutes), and it also is just an example of the media’s poor focus on sex and promiscuity. It’s pretty stupid IMO

That said, I’m no social revolutionary - you will find me grinding at prom or wheverever too. I don’t really have a choice lol

I agree completely.

I don’t grind…my friends and I sort of awkwardly dance in non-grinding way which gets weird because we’re sort of on the outskirts but oh well.

I always think it’s awkward that all the teachers and administration is there just watching, you know?

Grinding is technically banned at my school, but it’s essentially all anybody does. I do it, because there’s really nothing else to do haha. Sure, allow it, otherwise kids won’t know what to do and won’t come to dances, and at least there’s no actual penetration happinging (yet)!

I think that our generation will look hilarious in 20-30 years, like if they have to be at official type things and have no idea how to dance other than grinding. It’s a really funny mental image.

Also, if dancing is getting more ~radical~ as the years go on, I wonder what the hell our future kids will be doing.

“So, how do you dance at school dances?”

I breakdance, grind, or do some stupid-looking crap

“How does the general population at your school dance?”

All the above minus breakdancing

“Is grinding allowed or are there rules on what is appropriate at your school?”

Everything short of sex is allowed in my school’s dances

“And should grinding be allowed at school dances?”

Why not? Yeah I agree that it’s pretty stupid now that I think of it, but why should there be rules as to what kids are allowed to do in a dance as long as it doesn’t get too dirty?

I grind all the time. Seriously, I’ll do it for like 3 hours straight without stopping. How else are you supposed to level up in Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy? lol

I grinded 99 cooking in Runescape once.

Grind.

Grind, or stupid **** like tutting/dougie/cat daddy LOL.

Technically, it’s not allowed.

Yes.

everybody here needs to learn how to dance: [url=<a href=“Bubba doing the Dougie - YouTube”>Bubba doing the Dougie - YouTube]Bubba doing the Dougie - YouTube;

Grinding is repulsive. It’s a disgrace to our generation, it’s pseudo-sex.

I would get a group of friends in a circle, and then have ironic dance-offs. Some other people would break off the blob of gyrating bodies to come join in.

They became a blob of gyrating bodies and sort of pretended to have sex.

Eh, I guess it was. I don’t know.

Hey, it’s their prerogative. Ironic dance-offs are more fun, though.

I like to do the lawnmower, grocery cart, egyptian… you know, all the really silly weird dances?

And I think grinding is just the dance of the time. Not a huge deal for me but I just prefer not to.

I breakdance to show off, but I’ve never actually danced with someone lol.

And I just hate grinding. Even though it’s very persistent.
