I lack patience.
I have been admitted to UCSD and they've given me a quite decent financial package.
I have a decent shot at UCLA, which happens to be my 1st choice college.
Now idk why but for some bum reason, i started my acceptance process at UCSD. I did not complete it wholly, but i did left it incomplete.
So idk, if it means that i have officially accepted UCSD's offer and i will not be considered by UCLA / UCB for admissions.
Also i checked my UCI admitted application, and it still says taht i have been accpeted, Please start your acceptance process.
Please tell me what needs to be done if i have messed it up...

your first mistake is caring whether you get into uci or not

if you get into la or b, you can take back your SIR, if you did in fact complete it (and it transmitted to UCSD admissions)

but if you want to take it back you have to do it fast. A post from last year made it seem like it was a long and arduous process…i guess that’s only if you actually submitted an intent to register

if you didn’t fully submit your SIR, it shouldn’t have an impact on your B/LA admissions as decisions have already been made for all applicants

Did you click anything about sending in your deposit? Around $100. Because that is basically what they take as your SIR, I think. That’s the last step when I did my acceptance to UCSD.

No, i havent paid yet.
Thats where i stopped…

if you haven’t paid then you haven’t submitted it.

some people aren’t required to pay if they are under a specific income ceiling.

call and ask just to be safe.

You can withdraw your SIR at any time. You just can’t reverse the decision after June 1st. I’m pretty sure the other schools will still send you acceptances or rejections even if you submit your SIR.

doesn’t matter!! you can do whatever you want with SIR and security deposit you pay when u summit SIR. You can even send multiple SIR’s to each campus admitted. You only lose your deposit. That’s all.

(Well, i’m not 100% sure, but this is how I remember when I got into UC’s 2 years ago)

how do you go about withdrawing your SIR? I did the same thing as Loopin (yes I know, big mistake but it is quite a long story, and I realized what I had done a few days later). If I get into UCLA I can withdraw my SIR without any problems? I dont mind losing the deposit.

^
I don’t know about the whole process, but start off by e-mailing them (I’m sure I read somewhere…but I’ll look for that e-mail, if possible!) and let them know…yeah, the money won’t get refunded!

Good luck! [:
