So we took our final in Alg II yesterday, and today my teacher texted me and told me that my overall grade for the class is a B. The B is weighted as a "4." I can choose to disregard the grade and have it not appear on my transcript. Either way I'll lose my #1 ranking, because there's like 3-4 people who were tied for #1 with me who got an A in the class.

A. Not accept the grade. My GPA stays the same (4.1667). I take Alg II Honors this (my sophomore) year, and take precalc junior year, and then Calc AB. My class rank falls to like 5. (Which I can most likely recover from by the end of the year, and get back to at least 2nd.)

B. Accept the B. My GPA drops to 4.14. I fall several ranks down to like #20. I take Precalc Honors this year, then Calc AB, then Calc BC. (Our school makes us take AB first.)

Also it's worth noting that I screwed around in class a lot during the course, and some material is still unclear, so I'm somewhat apprehensive about going to precalc. I know that if I take Alg II again, that with this prior knowledge, I can definitely get an A+.

What to do?
