Should I accept a B for my summer course?

So we took our final in Alg II yesterday, and today my teacher texted me and told me that my overall grade for the class is a B. The B is weighted as a "4." I can choose to disregard the grade and have it not appear on my transcript. Either way I'll lose my #1 ranking, because there's like 3-4 people who were tied for #1 with me who got an A in the class.

A. Not accept the grade. My GPA stays the same (4.1667). I take Alg II Honors this (my sophomore) year, and take precalc junior year, and then Calc AB. My class rank falls to like 5. (Which I can most likely recover from by the end of the year, and get back to at least 2nd.)

B. Accept the B. My GPA drops to 4.14. I fall several ranks down to like #20. I take Precalc Honors this year, then Calc AB, then Calc BC. (Our school makes us take AB first.)

Also it's worth noting that I screwed around in class a lot during the course, and some material is still unclear, so I'm somewhat apprehensive about going to precalc. I know that if I take Alg II again, that with this prior knowledge, I can definitely get an A+.

What to do?

I got an 89 in my summer AP Bio (lab only) and I wish I could choose to not have it on my transcript.

Well is it like a real disadvantage to not take BC?

Not if you take AB.

NEVERMIND EVERYBODY. I STRUCK A DEAL WITH MY TEACHER WHERE I FINISH MY MISSSING HOMEWORK AND SHE BUMPS ME UP TO AN “A-”   Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Life is good!

END OF THREAD HAHA

^Congrats!!!

END OF THREAD!!

Wait… Your teacher texts you?

^^^Haha yeah. It wasn’t an actual school course; the school just trusted her to teach and they would give credit and gpa based on the grades she gave. She wasn’t even getting paid. So she couldn’t use school phones to contact us and there’s no report card for the course. So she had everyone give their cell numbers/facebooks so she could tell our grades to us.

^^Lol I was just wondering that…
