Hello, I have been accepted into Rutgers with rolling admission but I didn't recieve their financial aid offer yet. I need to get as much as I can of financial aid. Will accepting admission today have impact on the financial aid offer- in other words, would accepting admission now cause them to not give me financial aid? Is it wise to wait until they give me their offer?
Will they send me a financial aid offer at all?
Thanks to all who answer

where else have you applied? Do you expect to receive admission offers from other schools? Is Rutgers your dream school? You don’t have to commit until May 1 (unless you applied ED) … if financial aid is important to you there’s no reason not to wait.

Pick up the phone on Monday, and call and ask how soon to expect your estimated financial aid offer. Find out what paperwork they need if you haven’t sent it already.

Yes, you do need to know how much it will cost you before you decide, so verify with them that you do not have to accept or reject them until May 1.

Do you need to “accept” in order to “get in line” for housing? Is that another concern?

Are you instate?

Did your parents run the net price calculator on the RU website?

If you don’t need to accept now for housing, then why not wait?
