Should I accept waitlist offer

Many of you are framilar with my post about getting into U. Iowa at the last moment. U. Iowa is the highest in terms of academics on my list. However, being on the waitlist means some problems. Housing will be temporary, $2/day, and I'll be rooming with '9' other people. Financial aid, pure loans but, other schools were to offering just loans. Classes, what happeneds with this, do I not get the classes I want?

kinglin - Congrats on getting off the U. Iowa waitlist in time to consider actually attending! I suppose the most appropriate resolution is to pick the school that best suits YOUR needs. Personally I'm a "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead" kind of guy, so issues of housing and course selection (and class size and winter cold, etc.) simply wouldn't be issues if U.Iowa was the right place for me. Your mileage may vary. What's certain is that you have one more choice now, and that's a good thing. Best of luck with your decision.

Getting off of the waitlist will not decrease your chances of getting the classes you want. I'm sure registration hasn't even taken place for freshman. Have you visited either college? Is there any way you could get in touch with a student(s) at both schools (on my space or facebook) to ask questions? I agree that you should choose the school that best fits YOU. Good luck.
