Should I add ECs?

I'm a junior in the IB program that is planning for the next 6 months before the applications. I was wondering if I should add more ECs to get to some of the selective colleges such as UChicago, Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, UCs, UPenn, and USC.

So, here are my stats.

4.79 GPA (weighted), 3.88 (unweighted)
All AP/IB classes since freshmen year (except P.E and orchestra). Ranking: about 4 out of 3000 students (yes my school is huge).

My test scores are really bad, but I'm taking prep classes and pretty much putting everything aside to study for them.

Current ECs: (ones that are done or almost done)
-10 years piano- got into the University of the Pacific summer piano camp and chosen for the Stockton -Symphony Master class along with countless recitals and public performances.
-2 years of Golf- school Varsity team (only because our team sucks)
-IB club
-MESA club
-Reporter for the Youth section of the City newspaper
-Recieved the Rotary Youth Leadership Award and subsequiently attended Camp Royal.
-Representitive of Youngrowth Toys Inc. and its youth promotions. (A very comlicated way of saying I organize donations to local high schools and make sure they get there on time and without problems. I also made my first business deal worth $2000 this year.)
-Honor roll every year of High School
-IB certificate of Merit for 2 years

Planned ECs:
-Tutoring for the Summer, about 3-4 hours a week
-My biggest project is trying to open a Rotary Interact at my high school and will meet Rotary Representitives in a week or so.
-I applied to the UPenn: Wharton Summer program for business but I am not confident of acceptance because of low test scores. As a back-up, I applied to the NSLC: Business program in Washington.
-Just sent application for the National Society of High School Scholars.

So, other than test scores, is there anything I need to improve. Also, should I add in more ECs or pay more attention to the ones I have now? Thanks for all those that answer.

quality is always better than quantity to college. However, the more the better.

Concentrate on the ECs you already have. They are things you want to do, right? Don't add ECs just to impress the adcoms, especially in your senior year. It'll look fake, and they'll see right through it anyway. Besides, you already know the best way for your to improve your chances - keep your grades high and get your test scores up.

I agree completely. For the best shools it's depth over breadth.

Please, no more ECs.

exactly how bad are we talking for the test scores?
