I'm a freshman majoring in bioE. I'm thinking about taking my fifth class for this quater. Does physics 2a involve a lot of calculus?
Will it be very hard if I am just in math 20a now?
Where can I find the syllabus? on ted?

Thanks.

this is the site for FA11’s phys2a with griest

there is a bit of calculus…but if you took ap calculus in hs, i think you should be fine.

but also, i think the course has math20b as their prerequisite.

you need to be concurrently enrolled in math 20b to take physics 2a
math 20c really helps you with physics 2a

i agree with chemeng66. I wouldnt take phys 2a until after ive taken math 20c. 20c really helps you be good with vectors (which are the basis for kinematics in 1d and 2d motion). and you NEED to be good with vectors to succeed in 2a.

Seems that there is a prerequisite. It just didn’t appear on WebReg…Thank you guys!
