Should I alter my schedule?

<p>I have a class that I really want to sign up for in the 2nd semester (which is not a core academic class). But if I were to do so, due to some ridiculous schedule conflicts, I either have to take out AP Calc or honors English. And since I seriously don't think my school's honors and regular English are that much different (I have taken both in the past, and the AP one is beyond my consideration) , I think I will just switch to the regular English. </p>

<p>So my question is, given that I did reasonably good in that honor English in first semester and if I am able to give a reason for my intention to make such a change, will this schedule change still hurt me?</p>

<p>Go for it. Just make sure you get an A in that English class. I mean it. It is horrible to live you life as if one class one semester should make a difference to your options and have to give up something you are interested in learning about. If your overall schedule has been solid I think you should do what you want.</p>
