Should I Appeal for UCLA?

<p>Arright guys...obviously I'm pretty bummed that I got rejected for Business Econ...Do you guys think I should try to appeal for econ? I have all the prereqs done for that major as well.</p>

<p>Stats:</p>

<p>REJECTED</p>

<p>Current School: UC Irvine</p>

<p>Current Major: Business Economics</p>

<p>Applied Major: Business Economics @ UCLA (I was a UC-UC transfer applicant)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.933</p>

<p>Extra Curricular Activities: UCI Entrepreneur Society Active Member since Fall '08,
Currently Participating in SCORE (Counselor's to America's Small Business) workshops with certificate upon completion. Dean's Honor's list all quarters. I've done Extensive Volunteer-work throughout High School (They allowed you to list this on the application, but I don't know how much they care about it)</p>

<p>Work: Internet Marketing and Sales position at a Small Business for ~4.2 years (2006-present, 12 hours a week)...grew the business by over 30% in terms of profits.</p>

<p>Prereqs: All Done.</p>

<p>Essays: 8-9/10</p>

I really had a blast talking to you guys over the past weeks, and I congratulate everyone who got in! You people deserved it, I'm sure! :)...So yeah, do you think I still might have a chance??</p>

<p>appeal my friend, don’t give up until you get an appeal rejection. that’s the final straw…i am saying this cuz if my pending comes out negative, you bet i am appealing that shiz.</p>

<p>yeah but econ is super impacted as well. it’d be different if you were switching to like anthro or something. All the biz-econ majors come in as econ majors anyways and they apply to biz-econ. It wouldn’t make sense for them to not let you into Biz-econ and then suddenly let you into econ. The entire department is incredibly impacted.</p>

<p>man sandaboy, as soon as i got rejected, i checked to see what happened to u. ur my uci brother haha. Shiet, it isn’t in the cards man. If you couldn’t get in, what are they looking for? Whack man. We shoulda went to community college. We’d be golden right now.</p>

<p>yeah man…we would have saved a ton of money and probably been looking at an acceptance right now! are you gonna apply to the business admin major? I hear it’s harder to get into than Haas? :wink: lol…but yeah man…I don’t know what more I could have done without making my grades suffer.</p>
