Should I Appeal

Hey guys so I was wondering if you think I should Appeal my rejection. I noticed i made an error on the UC app. Basically where it asked for the Combined English/Writing Score for the ACT I thought it meant my essay score so I put a 10. FOr the combined english/writing score I got a 32. WOuld this change anything? If I appeal what do you think the chances of me getting in are. Also I got a these stats
4.1 UC weighted gpa, 3.8 unweighted.
ACT: Combined 33, Math 34, English 33, Reading 33, Science 32.
Ap Scores: 4 on Chem, 5 of APUSH, 4 on Euro
Extra Curriculars: Eagle Scout, 400+ hrs of community service for Catholic Charities and American Cancer Society,

it is always worth a shot…they cant reject you twice right??

That’s kind of a MAJOR mistake on the application so I say definitely appeal.

i didn’t take the ACT so icant be 100% sure if what i say is true…

i believe that UC’s require you to send in hte ACT scores too. If this is true, i am sure that UCSD may have picked up on your mistake and “corrected” it. Now as far as you appeal goes, go for it, but make sure the focus is not only on that one mistake, make it so it shows new things about you. i advise you to go online and search for methods as well as chat with your english teachers on the best way to approach it. finally, try going to your library and find out if they have books on college appeals because that will be helpful.

Major game-changer…go appeal

okay i thought it was a big deal but I wasnt sure if they saw my official scores cuz i heard they dont look at the official scores unless you get accepted

@ocpuck13 ah-ha… i see didn’t know that part [looking at official scores if you get accepted!]… thanks for telling me that… ok… same light though: Appeal Appeal, APPEAL!!!

be sure to spend a lot more time on this

I plan on appealing as well I was wondering if anyone would be willing to read my appeal…:)…if interested in helping me I can send it to you in a message. Thanks :)

yea you can send it if you want. I just sent mine in.

good luck dude. think yours is the type of situation the appeals process is designed for.

i sure hope so like i really want to go there its my dream school and i was like freaking out about it cuz i figured out the mistake like last week and tried to get the error to ucsd but was too late for them to change it. luckily i got it to ucd and ucsb before their decisions were posted.

Hello - I was wondering what happened with the appeal to UCSD. I had the same issue and was concerned :(
