Should I apply as an international affairs major?

I'm a high school junior planning on applying to competitive colleges (Princeton EA, Stanford, Brown, Johns Hopkins, University of Chicago etc.) in the fall. I might be interested in majoring in International Affairs, and I was wondering if it would help me to put that as a possible major (as opposed to undecided) on my applications. Does anyone know if it's a male dominated major? I'm female, so if it is that would give me an edge.

I have good SATS (2310 - 800 CR, 710 M, 800 W), a lot of scientific research experience, and I've won several national writing competitions. I will almost definitely be a national merit semifinalist/finalist as well. The thing is, I have taken a lot of math and science focused classes throughout high school and spent my summers doing science related internships. I have taken AP stats and 2 AP history courses and I'll be taking AP english next year, but the only ec I have that directly relates to my major is 4 years of Model UN (I am captain). What do you guys think I should do?

If you’re interested in IR, you might want to add Tufts to your list. Fletcher School one of the best. And don’t think your shortage of IR ec’s in high school versus science/math will hurt you. My daughter is going to be a science major and had nothing in the way of ec’s in science-related areas. All volunteer/ leadership with some summer college classes.
