Should I apply as an undecided major to NYU?

Hello! I’m a senior in high school, and I’m agonizing over which major to choose. I had always planned on majoring in English and pursuing a creative career, but in my junior year I was forced to take a physics class and surprised everybody by loving it. Now I’m unsure which to pick, but I’m concerned that choosing the wrong one could affect my chances for admission. For example, if I pick physics, but my application only shows interest in English, they might reject me or think I’m not dedicated to the subject. Or, contrarily, if I apply for English but change my mind, I’m worried they might not let me switch my major.

Should I apply undecided? How would this affect the admissions process?

Thank you so much.

NYU does not admit by major within the College of Arts and Sciences, so it doesn’t matter.

you can also apply to LSP and have two years of liberal arts core and then decide what you want to major in

@jazzcatastrophe actually the odd thing is that during my year, many people I knew who picked computer science that had competitive stats for CAS got rejected and was deferred to poly. The major might actually matter or that was just some coincidence.
