Should I apply early?

Hi, Im wondering if i should apply early to MIT. If I apply early, they wont see my half year transcripts and I have a high upward trend GPA. My gpa weighted is ~ 4.2, and no one has gotten in under a 4.58. Would it be in any way advantageous to apply early action? here are some of my stats

SAT: 2340 M:800 R:760 W:780
GPA: UW: 3.83 W:4.2
Subject Tests: Physics 800 Math II 800 Plan on retaking Chem but 740 first time (hope to get to 780+)
Senior year: AP BC Calc, AP Spanish, AP Physics, AP Chem, AP Lit, Art Requirement Class
AP Tests: Psychology, Environmental Sci, Macro, Micro (5s)
ECs:
National Honor Society,
National Honor Society Vice President,
Spanish Honor Society, Also VP
President of ECO Club,
Terracycle Coodinator of ECO Club,
VP of Team Unify,
XC/Track all seasons of high school,
Commended Scholar,
Science League,
Internship at Liberty Science Center,
Summer Program at Cornell or UMD
Published for DNA research in prestigious program
Involved in community green team
Secretary of class (Junior/Senior)
AP Scholar with Honor

Rec letters: Math teacher is stellar had her for all 4 years, Humanities one will probably be good as well (had her for 3 years)

I’m pretty sure all freshman applicants, not just RD, have to submit mid-year reports and grades (see http://mitadmissions.org/blogs/entry/mandatory-mit-mid-year-report). I applied RD, so I’m not 100% sure about EA applicants.

If it’s your first choice, I see no reason not to. It’s not binding at MIT, if I’m not mistaken.

As for your concerns about your GPA, you never know unless you apply.
