Right now, Cornell is my first choice. But I'm a little worried about applying ED. My dad doesn't really make a lot of money (85,000) and I've got a sister and a brother, my bro is already going to college. I don't want to enter a binding agreement with Cornell if they dont give me a very good financial aid package. I don't want to be paying back "low-interest" loans for ten years after I graduate. So, is it worth it for me to apply to Cornell ED?

i think you gotta apply regular because if u apply early u have to be absolutely positive that you can go there. once u apply there is no backing out

that is not true. While ED is binding, if you really can't afford it with the financial aid package they give you, you can back out, as cornell doesn't want to send you to the poorhouse. However, if you can afford it, it's really not ethical to back out.
