Should I apply ED or retake ACT?

Hello I’m an international student applying to US. My dream school is Cornell, and I want to major in Physics there. For the Sept ACT I received my score which is 32 Comp. Here’s my concern, I’ve earned a decent Math and Science score(35s) but did terribly on the Reading section(24 dropped from previous score which was 27). Based on Cornell’s admission stats, the average ACT scores is 32. I’m wondering if I should retake the ACT in hope to earn a better reading score or should i just apply ED and gain a boost from it? Compared to,say, if I earn a 33 or 34 in December ACT, would that be a better boost than applying ED? I understand that some people might argue that ED really gives minimal advantage but I’m just looking for any advice. Btw, my Subject test scores are 790 Phys, 800 Math lvl 2 and 800 Chem. Oh, and I can’t take the Oct ACT because I’m sitting for A Level exam.

hey sorry for doing this but no one’s replying. bump.

Can’t you take A levels on the retake day?

I don’t want to stress myself out during the A level exam though. I’m not the kind of person who can handle too many stuff at once.

I meant take the exam on another testing date.

I’m supposed to take it this year, since I’m graduating my school this year.

I would apply ED with the 32. If you can re-take the ACT December, do so. Focus on Reading. It can only help you in the regular admission round.
