Should I apply ED Penn or Columbia?

Hey Everyone! I am applying to colleges this fall, and I am absolutely torn between applying to Penn Wharton ED or Columbia ED. They are both my #1 schools (if that makes sense) lol, and I am absolutely in love with them both.
Here are my stats:
GPA: 4.56 (W) 3.99 (UW)
APs: AP Euro (5), AP Art History (5), AP Spanish (4), AP English Lang (5), APUSH (5),
Senior year: AP Calc BC, AP English Lit, AP Gov/Econ, AP Stats
Rank: 3

SAT: 2200 (will retake in October after Elite SAT prep Classes; hoping for 2350+)
SAT Subject Tests: Will take (Math 2, US and maybe Bio in Nov. Hoping for 750-800, with help from Elite Prep courses)

(All positions are as if I have completed senior year)

If you have any advice, or suggestions let me know :)
Also which one do you think I would have a better chance at?

Only apply early decision at a school if you have a clear number one choice.

There are only ten slots for activities on the common app, so you’ll need to condense your list into the ten things that are most meaningful for you. Make sure you present yourself in an authentic way.

Didn’t see anything about what you wish to study…

I’ve already narrowed down the activities and filled out the common app.
I plan to major in economics and hope to go into finance/business.

Well, you would have a better chance at Penn simply because I believe their acceptance rate is 13% while Columbia’s is 7%. So your chances are almost doubled at Penn (yay for basic math). I mean, Penn’s Wharton school is FAMOUS for what you’re going into, but obviously Columbia isn’t too shabby either. I know this isn’t the answer you want, but only you can make the decision! If you are completely torn over the schools themselves, trying looking more in depth at other factors like location, atmosphere, climate (although it’s probably the same at both), etc. Peace be with you!

I’d think you’d be a great fit for both

But Wharton usually wants more business oriented ECs, and don’t get me wrong, yours are AMAZING, but they show your passion for other things as well. Therefore, I would do Columbia, as they would want such a well rounded student like you. You prob have a good chance at Penn RD anyways

Glad to help a fellow Indian out!

You could pray about it too

Haha thanks everyone!

I was fixated on Columbia for the longest time, and then I started researching Penn, and loved it too.
And now Im stuck between both of them.
If anyone knows any facts that may sway me, please let me know!

Also how are student life and the dorms at Penn and Columbia?

Bump10char

Apply to Penn… Economics Finance Business are kind of pretty good at that Wharton School or whatever…so I hear.

Should be at the top of your list. Apply ED to Penn for Wharton.

I’d say Columbia. Since you’re such a well rounded person, I think it’d be a better fit!

Bump10char

Like many others have said, apply ED to whichever you want to go to more.

I frankly couldn’t say which would be a better fit, and you’d have about the same chances at both. So just chose whichever you prefer. In terms of numbers, you will be competitive for both.
