I also shadowed an Engineer at Emerson-Copeland and researched compressors and their controls. Planning on doing a couple more research projects as well

One last note, my school is very poor and offers little opportunity, so I am trying to make the best of it.

Thanks!

bumpbumpbump

Anyone there? ??

I think you have a decent~great chance!
You should definitely attach a resume for your college application!

and your school doesn’t offer you AP classes? Did you take any AP tests?

My school has 4-5 APs which I’ve taken and done well on, thanks for the feedback!

I would really appreciate some input

What are your scores? Did you self-study any? and what is your “hook”?

I think you should apply to both those schools. Your resume looks amazing!

5’s in all,I did not self study for my AP classes, I am currently in an independent study for AP Stats, and Astrophysics (via Yale), I don’t believe I have a hook…maybe being from Ohio? and thanks for the feeback guys! Anyone else?

your weighted GPA is very low. EC’s are okay… Testing is very mediocre for an Asian-american. I feel like Columbia and Princeton are long stretches.

^my school doesn’t offer that many APs, so I can’t really go higher …and I’ve done what I can with what’s available at my school, I agree my test score isn’t the best. Thanks for the feedback!

Anyone…

Bump,…

As of right now,

Columbia ED: High reach
Princeton SCEA: I don’t see it happening.

I am sorry but I do not see anything special and your scores are not impressive as of right now. Remember, you are competing against super high stat and impressive EC Asian kids.

You have a great application! Congratulations (:

You could definitely be competitive for RD, but with these schools that are such high reaches for anyone applying, it’s not like you can count on it.
If you know which of the two you’d definitely want to go to if you got in, then apply ED. If you’re not sure though, then don’t risk getting stuck with a school you might change your mind on and stick with RD. Applying ED would definitely up your chances though, especially in a school like these where no one is a sure shot for getting in.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the feedback! If I may ask, how am I a weak candidate…I’ve seen plenty of proplrewith lower stats get accepted on the decision threads…Asians as well

You are not “weak” applicant.

But, you are one of MANY unhooked applicants with decent stats and ECs.
You need to be lucky to get into “top colleges.”

You will get into some good (or great) colleges.
Good luck to you.

Thanks for the clarification!

Any other opinions?
