Should I apply ED?

GPA(UW): ~3.9
SAT (OCT): My practice tests have been around 2100+.
Rank: ~10/250
Major: Neuroscience
ECs: President of 2 clubs; 2 Regional Awards (CommServ); Regional Leadership position; Local TV News Recognition; Varsity X-Country/Awards; Job (10hrs/week); Dean's List @ CC; 1/5 chosen as valedictorians...

Anyway, I had 4.0's in my freshman and sophomore years. I did 2APs (which is what was offered) and some CC classes in my junior year. I had a B- in a college class (Pre-Calc), and 2B's for APUSH. I was also quite sick and extremely stressed and worn out near the end of first semester and withdrew my CC classes that quarter (biology).

I have 4APs right now and 2CC classes (physics sequence and piano).

Should I apply RD and try to get a 4.0 for the mid-year report? (My schoolwork is manageable and I'm doing well.) Or do I have a shot with ED?

I'm worried about the grade trend.

(Also, my grades are kinda pumped up because 1 college class = 1 year's worth of work. So, my GPA was softened, with some classes I did for requirements, because of the CC credits. The B- was worth 2.7. )

20% chance. Do regular decision.

why not go for ED?--even without the midyear report .. I think you have above a "20% chance"-- do some legwork with the admissions reps.

If you do not get in ED, I am guessing you'll be just deferred.

Good Luck!
