Hi all,
On my shortlist of colleges, Carnegie Mellon University is my number one choice. I really like the school, and it has one of the best computer science programs out there, but it is still a bit of a reach school for me, so I thought I should apply for early decision.
My SAT score is a 2030 (730 math, 650s reading and writing). I am going to be a senior however, so I only have until November to apply. And I haven’t taken the SAT subject tests (math and a science), which are essential to my admission to the school of computer science.
I have to choose between taking the subject tests and the sat’s again in hopes of improving my score (but with regular decision), or just taking the sat subject tests and hoping that a 2030 is good enough for Carnegie Mellon (with early decision).
Which of these would most improve my chances of being admitted to Carnegie Mellon?
