I planning on applying to all the UC campuses, but I was wondering if I should really "waste" and application on UCLA or Berkeley? Do I have a shot or would it be a waste?

Chance me for the all UC's (Irvine, Davis, Santa Barbara, San Diego in particular)

Please read and give me your opinion on my admissions to UC.

----Test #3 [Will be taking November]

SAT 2 Subject Tests
----Chemistry [730]
----Biology [700]
----Math Level 2 [Waiting for score.. probably did bad, idk ]

Extracurriculars
- Violin for 8 years (in orchestra)
- Table Tennis for 5 years (joining Tournaments)

Other Info
- Asian(Chinese)
- First Generation Student
- Born in California, Resident of California
- Go to a competitive public high school

applying to UCLA and Berkeley would not be a “waste” but you have to understand that your SAT scores are a little below the average accepted student for those schools and your GPA is well below the average.

I think what is a waste is taking the SATs for a third time. You have already taken them twice and achieved the exact same total score each time. Despite the many claims you will hear, retaking the SATs rarely results in significantly higher scores. The SATs test mainly cognitive ability and that is very difficult to increase, particularly CR.

^Engineering? No chance at UCLA or UCB engineering programs. But, I would advise you to apply if you really want to go there. No regrets, just go for it. And Irvine and Davis are low-mid reaches.
