Should I apply RD or EDII to Stern?

Hello everybody,

I am currently an international student looking to apply to NYU-Stern. I am interested in a concentration in Business economics here.

I am contemplating whether I should apply RD or EDII to stern. Stern as a business school is amazing and I would definitely consider attending but I am not sure if I am ready commit 100% to it, especially when I have other universities that I would much rather attend (Brown, Northwestern). But if I apply RD, I am afraid that I will not be accepted through the RD process due to the lower acceptance rate.

Here are my questions:

Is applying RD going to hinder my admission chances, and by how much?

Is the acceptance rate for EDII a lot higher than that of RD?

With my current scores, how much chance do I have of getting in through the RD process?

Here are my stats:

SAT: 2240, (CR 720, M 720, W 800)
IB : 38/42, 39/45 (with core points)
Subject Tests: MathII 780

Confident of good recommendation letters, good range of EC's but nothing at national level.

I am looking forward to your comments! Thank you :)

You have good enough credentials to get in RD. But in the end its up to you to decide how much you love NYU

If you ED you will have a better chance - Your CR+M at 1440 is not really outstanding or anything for Stern and I think most people in Stern have a Math II of 800.

So it will only help if you apply ED but if Stern is not your first choice you should apply to it RD instead.
