Should i apply SCEA or RD? :\

Hii :)I am a rising senior, and I'm ridiculously obsessed with Yale so I was wondering, do you think I have a shot of actually getting in? 2300 SAT score, 4.4 weighted GPA, took all honors and APs in high school, Science club board member, Newspaper Editor in Chief, Speech team captain, and I did the Yale Ivy Scholars program this summer! What is kinda bumming me out is that I had not so perfect grades junior year :\ Do you think I should apply SCEA or wait for regular with hopefully straight A's in all AP classes first semester senior year?

Does Yale give weight to the Ivy Scholars program? Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated!

SPeak with your guidance advisor regarding your list of colleges and apps.

Which would you apply EA if Yale wasn’t on the list?
Which RD?

Look at your schools Naviance to see how applicants to Yale faired…

You might want to look at this years RESULTS thread where students listed their stats on applications…the ECs etc…

If Yale is your #1, apply early.

Exactly what does “not so perfect grades” mean?

^^ I second that question: what does “not so perfect grades” mean?

That seems to be ‘key’ here because: [What Yale Looks For | Yale College Admissions](What Yale Looks For | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions)

“While there is no hard and fast rule, it is safe to say that performance in school is more important than testing. A very strong performance in a demanding college preparatory program may compensate for modest standardized test scores, but it is unlikely that high standardized test scores will persuade the admissions committee to disregard an undistinguished secondary-school record.”
