bump bump

You have really cool activities and when i visited campus they said they accepted around 30% of ED applicants so I would say with your stats and the interview thing you have a really good shot! (also i am from the Bay Area)

thanks! good luck to you too!

You may want to apply for some merit award. No harm in trying. It really demonstrates your interest and desire to put forth the extra effort.

Does anyone know what they look at for first grading period? My school goes by semester and if they were to see my grades right now they’d think I have a C in my AP stats class but I missed a test because of the jewish holidays. Since I don’t go by quarter what are they even looking at in this first grading period? They obviously aren’t my semester grades so what’s the point?

bump please help^

I’d say you have a fairly good shot at getting into Wash U in Stlouis ED. Your ACT is OK, and your GPA is pretty solid. I think Wash U likes to look at rigor as well, and you seem to be in the ballpark. Do you have any volunteering hours? Otherwise, your EC’s are really stellar. Just because Wash U admissions can be odd, I can’t guarantee anything. But I’d say you have a pretty good chance, especially ED.

the community theatre counts as community service hours. so I have about 400-500 each year just from that. also any opinion on the whole first grading period thing? Junior lifeguard program is also community service combined as a job shadowing. Finally I also get tons of tutoring hours from NHS and CSF.

bump! any help with the whole grading period deal

You need to ask your school if they mail mid-semester grades or not. Your counselor can easily explain the situation. My children had a similar problem and each went to a different school. Each handled it differently.

okay thanks so much
