Should i apply to brown

hi guys…ive been confused for a couple weeks about this nd i just realized i could ask for advice right here

ive been tryin to decide whether to ED to brown or to wharton ( i want to do econ and then law in teh future)…ill be honest, my stats arent great especialyl compared to teh ppl on this site, but i do have alot of leadership stuff and definetly great recs as well as a good amount of ECs…my question is is brown a good school to ED to for economics or any other business type majors? i love brown, and I;ve heard alot of great things about the way teh school is, but I just want to know if its a good business school as far as education, workload, and of course getting a good job.

Thanks,

Ben

PS…ive also been thinking about business schools at UMich, UConn or Georgetown

Look into the COE major -- http://coe.brown.edu/concentration/

I believe Brown and U Penn require one to first be able to construct a coherent set of sentences in the English language

Thank you ILoveBrown, I've always wanted to do something with Econ and Law, and this concentration seems like it could fit.

I just read over my first post and you're right, its pretty bad...sorry...I just rushed through it thinking that this was an informal college forumn

CITATION X -- come on, no need to be snide.

funny you compare ED between Brown and Wharton cause I did the same - I decided on Brown mainly because I wasn't sure Wharton was what I wanted, I just heard it was good if you want to go into business in the future and make a lot of money... so needless to say I'm happy I decided on Brown

I heard the COE concentration is great though because if you decide in the future that economics might not be the best for you, you can still be a COE concentrator but with a different focus - maybe on international commere or organizational management... it's really all up to you. Going to Law school in the future, you're best bet would probably be Brown in my opinion - you'll take things you like, which will boost your GPA. And wharton can be very competitive, but that might be something you want.

^ this was a lot of rambling... i'm getting ready to hand in a paper i did last night so my brain is done

thanks for the advice! i really appreciate it

COE is a great way to go, the program builds on a history of launching successful entrepreneurs right out of undergrad and offers great international internship opportunities. you may also want to check out

brown also has a fantastic law school acceptance rate with 95% of students getting into their top three choices. this year brown has the highest per capita representation at harvard law school next to harvard itself, stanford, and princeton

wow i never knew that...im going to be visiting brown soon and I probably will ED there...dont think i can get in but im going to try...thanks again for the help everyone!
