I kind of started a thread similar to this the other day, but more vague and now I need a more personal answer.

I'm applying to six schools. Of those six, 4 of the application deadlines are on January 15th. One is on February 1st and one is on March 1st (but it has rolling admissions so I should probably worry about applying early to there).

The reps from the January 15th schools were telling me that the deadline is for application only and to send in my transcripts on January 25th when my senior grades come out instead of doing the mid-year report.

BUT my question is should I go ahead and start sending in the application part? I have my essay and basic application facts (name, social security, intended major, etc.). I won't have my final SAT scores till November. But should I send it in parts like that? I heard a lot of people do but I don't know if it's recommended. My parents want me to go ahead and send the information parts/ essay this weekend just to set the ball rolling, but I want more opinions before I do it.

Even if I do start this weekend, it'll be spaced like this.
-Application/ Essay- October 6th
-SAT Scores- November something or other
-Transcripts/ Teacher Recommendation- January 25th

So it's a lot of time in between each part. I just don't know if that's recommended or if colleges hate that.
