Hello, everyone. I tried this on the Cornell forum and people said I should also consider Harvard. I know it is very difficult to get in, so I was wondering if it would be worth it to apply.

Thanks for any and all feedback!
I think you are a very competitive applicant! (The RSI achievement is huge!) Have you/will you apply to ISEF and STS next year?
Yes, I am going to ISEF via the state science fair win. Thanks!
i think you should get in based on raw stats and ec
You seem to have a great chance of acceptance! Your achievements and extra curricular activities are far beyond the norm, and your scores are pretty commendable, as well.
Let’s get real. OP needs to learn what makes s match at a tippy top. It’s not just stats and ECs. How do you make your best presentation without knowing what they look for?
Thousands more than they have space for will apply.
Why are essays done now?
If your essays are dope, boiiiii you are getting in!!!
Dude. Do the absolute best you can with the essays. Get them reviewed, proofread, etc, because you’ve got a really good chance. At the very least include Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, MIT, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, maybe Caltech (if you’re into it) on that list. MIT you’ve got a really, really high chance of getting into because of RSI.
I share your passion in physics, and let me just say you’re quite impressive. Godspeed!
Looking forward has been around a long time (note the number of posts for responders) and that post is the one you might pay attention to.
I confess I don’t know much about your listed EC’s. What does this actually mean: " Presented Papers at Numerous Physics + Engineering ConferencesI" Are you overstating or can you be more specific?
By the way, in many cases the essay is not all that significant for admissions. So many get coaching these days. An outstanding one can help, a terrible one can hurt, but I think often the effect is neutral.
I also wondered why essays are already done. I think you can “chill” a little. Your chances may be great but enjoy high school - and make sure to look into other schools that you might like.
@MysticalMoose - to answer your question - “Yes you should apply”. If your question was “What are my chances?” “Will I get in” - the answer is “I don’t know and no one on CC does. The reality is that not even the AOs will know the answer to that question”. But please do apply to some matches and safeties - you never know with the college admission process where you will get in and where you will not.
Yea I am starting to think I should chill too. I guess from these responses it is worth applying. Other than that, it is out of my control. Thanks Everyone and Good Luck!
Admission to RSI opens door if not Harvard then to WYPMS or other similar school. Congratulations and enjoy RSI.
