I either want to major in Communications/Public Relations/Magazines, etc. or International Studies.

I know that the COM school is pretty competitive and harder to get into. I would say I have a 70% chance of getting in, but just in case should I apply to the arts school for the internatinoal studies major first?

if I want to switch my major to communications, how would i switch to the comm school?

COM is not harder to get into than CAS. Just apply to the one you really want. It’s not hard to switch between schools…but don’t make the decision based on which one you think it will be easier to get into. If you change your mind about your major after you’re accepted you can switch schools pretty easily. If you decide before school starts, you just called the admissions office and theyll check to see if there are more spots in that school (there usually are). If you decide after school’s already started, just talk to your advisor and theyll get you the right paperwork.

But, like I said. COM is not harder to get into than CAS.
