I'm debating on whether or not i should apply to the University of WAshington.
I am only going to if i know if i have a decent shot at getting in.
my stats are:
3.5 Weighted GPA
3.32 UW GPA
SAT= 600 CR, 570 M, 560 W
A few AP classes-AP english, AP Chinese, AP Economics
rank is in top 20%
okay ecs in sports and volunteering, nothing oustanding but pretty good
decent/safe essays
out of state student
what are my chances?

Also when are the deadlines
they have 2 on their site-1/15 and 12/1-whats the difference?

You seem like you have a pretty good shot. I'm a CA resident applying to some UC's (UCB, UCD, UCSD, etc.) and I'm thinking about UW as well. Look by the numbers: the middle 50% of accepted students had between a 3.5-3.9GPA; between 520-640 CR and 550-570 M. Your ECs could hurt you, but I think you have a shot. OOS; where do you live? Good luck.

batman32c : i am also a CA resident

another question- UW says on the app that the GPA is cumulative so does that mean i include classes like health, athletics, etc? this would boost my GPA significantly!

The 12/1 deadline is for "priority decision." (I don't think it's worth that much...) I haven't looked at the application yet, but cumulative makes me think you could put them in; I'd talk to a counselor or email UW. Also, as a CA resident I'd say you should check out the app statistics at the UC schools.

any more opinions??
