I’m interested in business, but I’m not sure on a specific major. I was originally going to apply to Business Undecided, But now I’m considering applying to University Studies. Will applying to University Studies increase or decrease my chances of getting accepted? Virginia Tech is my number one choice, so I really want to make sure I make the right decisions and get in. I have a 3.818 GPA and a 1370 SAT btw, and I’m in state.

Enter the specific College to see the 2018 admission results. This is the best guide to understand where you fall in the big scheme of things but keep in mind it is only a guide and every year people in the 75% range are denied and people in the 25% accepted.
As @bboop42 (the house expert) noted, Virginia Tech is extremely transparent with admissions data. I wish all colleges were so generous with their info.
If I were you, I would use this link https://irweb.ir.vt.edu/webtest/admission_data.aspx and drill down on every business major available at VT and find one where your stats are strong. Your first college research assignment.
Remember that after General Engineering, the two most popular majors for applicants are University Studies and Business (undecided). So although you think you are helping yourself by applying “undecided” you are actually putting yourself into a much larger pool.
Good luck!
