should I apply to Wharton or CAS?????

I want to go into business in the future, and Wharton is one of my first choices in all the colleges im applying to, but I'm not sure if i stand competitive enough.
Knowing that, im also considering the option of applying to CAS and transferring later on, but if i DO stand a pretty good chance, why not Wharton in the first place?
To be honest, if I can get a Penn education by going into CAS, i wouldnt mind, but since a transfer to wharton wouldnt be guaranteed, iunno.

my stats are
790M 750CR 720W (retaking in Jan)
Physics 770 Math2c 780 Lit 640 (epic failure)
4.0/4.0 10 out of 350 (our school doesnt rank but thats what my counsellor put)
im in IB and my predicted grade was 37/45 when my counsellor uploaded my transcript ='(
im pretty sure it's going to go back up to a 39 for midyear report...(i had a bad test in two subjects but i madeup for it)
my EC's are very leadership heavy- student council pres, ib council pres, manager of a school business i created, chosen to lead our school in a multi-distrcit social responsibility awarenss project, first flute in city orchestra, pres and founder of a humanity club, and exec roles here and there
also i wrote my commonapp essay about me wanting to go into finances, and i took on an internship at an ibank last summer, so i think i pull off a business oriented profile.

What do you guys think? is my chance not big enough for me to risk the rejection? (i'm not trying to say im a shoo in for CAS, but i would like to think that my cahnces are pretty high, espeically considering that someone with worse Stat/SAT/EC/essay(i had to help her with this cuz she's ESL) got in to CAS)
or should i go for it and see what happens? be as brutal as you want!

i'd say go for wharton. you're a pretty good candidate, and it's what you want to do

honestly, i think your chances at wharton are higher than your chances at CAS.

you've owned the leadership part and the math part that wharton wants.

My prediction: if your leadership is legit and you write some decent essays and have decent recs, you are gonna get in.

yeah i would go for wharton.

about math; one problem is, im taking SL math and i was predicted 5 (it's going to be 6 for my mid year report tho)
if they focus on math so much, would that hurt me alot??

def apply to wharton, ur gpa and leadership is a great combo.

better chances of admission for wharton than CAS.

WHARTON!

not competitive enough for wharton? try not competitive enough for CAS because you're a better fit for wharton. no seriously. it's a misconception that CAS is "less competitive". i think wharton's a better fit for you though...
don't apply to CAS with the intention of a transfer into wharton. CAS is not easy to get into.

so if i applied CAS for econ, which is still pretty related to what i wanna study, they will reject me cuz finances is better for me than econ?

CAS econ involves more theoretical stuff, and it wouldn't necessarily be used for business. a lot of econ majors end up going to law school (at least that's what i've heard). and they wouldn't reject you because finance is better fit for you.

go with whatever is better for you, which i think would be wharton. you have a better shot at wharton i think. (which is the consensus of this entire board)
