I have NO CLUE what I want to major in. Would applying as an undeclared major affect my admission in any way?

I’m going to apply to UCR, UCSC, UCI, and UCSB.

if you have no clue, i would recommend applying undeclared. A lot of people are also in the same boat, so a lot of colleges expect it too. I applied undeclared as well
good luck!

I don’t think it’ll have too negative an impact on your admissions.

If you’re that worried, maybe try and find a major that at least slightly interests you, find out if it’s impacted, and build from there. Then later, once in school, change your major if you’re not satisfied.

But going undeclared should be perfectly fine, since its not actually a “major.” Then you have plenty of ability to “experiment” in college for the first year.

Dude i am applying to all of those schools too lol!

Applying undeclared won’t hurt you if you’re applying for Letters and Science, but for engineering, they kind of want to see you declare it as a freshman from what I heard.

Yup, MordeEsUno is right. Undeclared in L&S is your best bet.
