Excellent recommendations from 2 Teachers and my Guidance Counselor
Already wrote a really nice essay about living with a disabled parent, just need to edit it a bit to fit USC's essay requirements.

yes. i didn’t even look at your stats, but yes. if you apply your chance of acceptance is > 0%. if you don’t, it is 0%. simple as that. considering it is your dream school, i wouldnt leave it at a 0% chance.

Okay, thanks! Could you by any chance look at my stats and give me an idea of my chances too?

im in the same boat as you- applying to USC for 2011 admission. i also dont know the school very well in terms of admission…so i cant really give you too good of an estimate.

that said, i would give you a good shot. your test scores are ok and your UW gpa is average. but an upwards trend in gpa is good and you’re a URM so those will definitely work in your favor.

i also suggest writing a new essay for USC unless yours matches very closely with the prompt- they specifically state they know when an essay has been recycled and they don’t like it at all.

good luck though!

Thanks! I’ll probably start from scratch then, definitely think I’ll write about my disabled parent, though…everything helps, right?

Good luck to you too!

Not an expert at all, but I think you should definitely apply. It sounds like you have a unique combination of interests and talents and I think USC likes that.

Thanks! :)

You actually have pretty good stats for USC, only thing that might hold you back is GPA. I wouldn’t be surprised if you got in, but then again I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t. You should definitely give it a shot

President Nikias wants to have a greater number of out of state seniors accepted at SC. Also, SC is your dream university. Apply. Be sure to show your enthusiasm for the university in the application.

Is your high school competitive? What is your class rank?
