<p>I have a 3.0gpa 1140SAT 580 verbal 560 math, I have rowed for my high school crew team for 4 years, a competitive club crew team last summer. I was a member of Key Club first 2 years, a member of ski club all 4 years, have volunteered with my church for 2 years. Do I have a chance I want to go somewhere warm by the ocean like southern florida any other schools in the area?</p>
<p>you'll probably get in. i think miami is the hardest florida school i can think of to get into. so any other florida school should be fine for you.</p>
<p>Miami has really gotten tough...I was speaking with an admissions counselor there and he said that they'll be turning away a lot of people this year with high sat scores</p>
<p>Hey, why would miami reject students with high SAT scores? Are u sure they didn't say they were rejecting students who had low SAT scores? I am confused about that sentence.</p>
<p>i think he means sat scores that would have been acceptable previously will now be seen as too low</p>
