Should I apply?

I did not do well in high school because I was depressed and was not stable mentally.
My high school GPA is a 2.3 and my SAT score is a 770 without the writing section. With the writing section, I have a 1230.
I did my senior year of high school at my local community college, earning college credits while fulfilling my senior year credit requirements.
My GPA is a 2.4 and I have 15 transferable credits. I am taking a summer session course though, and will be done the class in 2 weeks, so I will have 18 transferable credits. I am hoping and trying to get an A in the class, and if I do that then I will have a 2.9 GPA. I am also going to write an essay.

I want to apply to colleges for the spring semester after my class gets factored in on my credit hours, transcript, and GPA. But I'm worried that I won't get in.

College #1 - Temple University. Public state school. Acceptance rate 61%. The website says that the average GPA of a transfer student is a 3.0. My cousin goes there though and she told me that she knows people that have transferred there with a 2.6 GPA. If you have at least 15 transferable credits, you don't need to send in your SAT scores.

College #2 - Chestnut Hill College. Private school. Acceptance rate 73%. Minimum GPA for consideration is a 2.0. If less than 24 credits, high school transcript and SAT scores need to be sent in.

College #3 - Gwynedd-Mercy College. Private school. Acceptance rate 65%. Minimum GPA for consideration is a 2.0. If less than 24 credits, high school transcript and SAT scores need to be sent in.

Should I apply?

Yes!

Yes you should, nothing is impossible if you try! Don’t give up or you’ll regret it. Try explaining (maybe through an essay?) about your depression…etc. Best of luck :)
