I appreciate your academic performance, but… AP is kind of crucial for Princeton, as I know. AND your scores of AP is not competitive. why not refer to some other cases, I mean, you google people’s rewards and EC etc. Find ur position and make a decison.

I recommand a try, anyway :)

I don’t know if they take AP Scores into consideration for admissions…I thought that was mainly for credit.

Does Princeton disregard freshman grades?

A downward trend your jr year is bad, I think, but honestly if you want to go you should apply!

Ok, breakdown:

Stats: The GPA is not too bad, but not too good either. I think overall, what saves you is an upward trend in GPA, especially if you can spin it into some form of essay that talks about how you grew as a person and as a student and all that crap.

SATs: Your SAT I is same as mine, and I got in.
SAT IIs are pretty good, an 800 would be ideal but you’ve hit several mid/upper 700’s, which is good enough.

APs: Here we see a problem. Yes, you’re planning to take alot of APs. BUT - your scores are not competitive. Generally speaking, when we talk Ivy admissions, most candidates have 5’s on all their AP tests. You have only one 5. The 3’s are bad especially. Unfortunately, you can’t exactly prove yourself this year, because tests are in May after decisions. At least you’re taking a heavy course load.

ECs: Lots of them, and lots of leadership BUT the awards seem a little lackluster (school-wide, plus almost everyone is in NHS). What is Youth Salute? Is that a competition? If it is, I’d suggest how many people you were competing against, the nature of the competition, whether it is schoolwide/statewide/nationwide etc.

“Hooks”: Dual-citizenship? Is that a hook? My parents told me not to put my dual Russian-USA citizenship on my app. I’m not sure how Princeton might look upon that. HOWEVER, I think it might be a good idea to emphasize your blend of cultures, especially in your essay. Admit officers love that kind of stuff.

Bottom line: I think you should apply. Ivy admits are essentially a crapshot, and you might stand a chance of getting in. Plus, Princeton gives really great financial aid (they gave me over 20K for the first year!)
