I’m taking one class over summer break but This is my second time taking college algebra (last time I failed) and I have a d+ which is really annoying since I get 90’s and 80’s in everything else but that one stupid math class brings my grade down. I’m honestly thinking about asking advisement if I can drop the math and take a science class as a replacement. It’s weird because I love science but I hate the math class.
If you have distribution requirements to fulfill that require a math class, I feel like this is unlikely to work.
- What grade counts as "passing"?
- How many other classes are you taking right now?
If you’re consistently struggling in college algebra, maybe you could drop down to its prerequisite.
Yes! Talk to your adviser asap!
They can help you know
- Have you passed the withdrawal date?
- What are the impacts if you withdraw from this class? e.g., are you still full time? is it a pre-req?
- What classes can be taken as an equivalent?
